Due Cento is a great Italian café in Queen Street and near Hardware Lane! It offers a great experience not just the great coffee and food, but great engagement with customers. Run by two Italian brothers who have great experience in the food industry, this place is a slice of Italy. For those who enjoy the Italian experience in Melbourne a visit here is highly recommended!

I first visited with my friend and was introduced to the brothers. So friendly – like every customer is a good friend! I ordered some banana bread and a coffee and sat down in a great outdoor area overlooking Queen Street and Little Bourke. Inside the café are photos on the wall to remind one of Italy. The décor is tasteful and has charm. A number of regulars grace this establishment and love it. The boys look after their regulars!

The coffee here is excellent. Once again, this is a serious coffee destination with excellent single origins and blends.

The next time I visited I had one of their breakfast toasted sandwiches with egg and bacon on great bread. This was excellent! Other menu options are also great with more sophisticated meals for lunch!

Having visited some of the coffee destinations in this precinct I am keen to return to Due Cento for the overall experience.
