One of Melbourne’s best kept secrets. It’s a haven for those who’ve just endured a packed train ride. To unwind in Emily’s Place is the perfect relax. It’s a small café with a great ambience. In fact there are cool photos on the wall with a French/European theme. And, as typical of French themed cafes, quirky objects to be seen around the room.

At times there’s dreamy music playing away… And you can dream that you are in fact in Europe and not in bustling Melbourne Central.

Love the little booths with the small cushions. Sit here and have breakfast and read the paper (and/or check emails). Occasionally glancing up as the regulars stream in for their morning coffee.

Emily’s Place is a great coffee destination. The coffee is first class. I would say the best in the area. The food is also great in terms of egg and bacon rolls for breakfast, cakes, sandwiches and other delights. I’ve been here for breakfast many times. It focuses me for the day ahead. I can breathe here!

The staff here are super friendly and look like they love being there. It has a homely vibe about the place. I love their Facebook Page quote, “When you start to feel it's a cold cruel world and nobody loves you, Just remember someone actually wake up at 5 am just to make sure you get a perfect cup of coffee to put a smile on your face..
