La Belle Miette is a ray of sunshine in Hardware Lane. The French name means “beautiful small thing.” For those who love macaroon this is a haven! Staff are super friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Walk in to a cheery yet sophisticated small store which specialises in macaroons.

I love the ambience here. The triumph is in the presentation not just in the product! The window displays are spectacular! And the gift boxes are sublime!

These are first class macaroons with a crunch on the outside with the soft gooey centre. Love the selection of flavours, but also colours! What a great gift to give someone with the variety of tastes and visual appeal!

All the macaroons are popular and come with exotic names such as Bastille, Cucumber and Mint, Lemon, Caramel a la Fleur de Sel, Rasberry, Pistachio, Cherry Blossom and Sake, 72% Cocoa Single Origin Chocolate, Hazelnut Belle Miette and the list goes on… My personal favourite is the Caramel a la Fleur de Sel!

What may not be known is that they also supply quality tea and artisan made lemonade!

I love the consistency and quality of these macaroons. I love how the sales staff treat every macaroon as a precious commodity!

I love the attention to detail and sophistication as expressed on the website - La Belle Miette use exquisite ingredients to make our macarons.

Our current range solely uses chocolate from the French chocolate house Cacao Barry and Belgian Callebaut. We only use Girgar butter – high quality Australian dairy made in the European tradition. To give our macarons their signature texture, premimum grade almonds are dried, ground, sifted; then reground and resifted with sugar until a fine, powder-like tant pour tant (half-almond, half-sugar) is achieved.

As the daughter of a natural perfumer, the ability to source rare and unusual natural extracts and parfums is a skill Maylynn brings to La Belle Miette.

Love it!
