A taste of Paris in the Melbourne CBD. This Patisserie is large and spacious and oozes elegance and charm. A great place to meet friends. The fit out here is classy, with marble topped counter areas by the window overlooking the lane.

The selection in the glass display cabinets is almost overwhelming. Try and choose from the amazing selection of baguettes, cakes, macaroons, and other tasty delights.

Always a crowd at the counter so don’t dawdle in your selection, or you’ll find yourself 6 deep in the queue.

Love the upstairs area up the staircase!

Love the baguettes, with great bread and fresh gourmet ingredients. They are slightly expensive and some people I know just order the half baguette. The mini sandwiches are an interesting option. Love the Croque Monsieur which is pre made then 3 minutes to heat up. Quality bread, ham and cheese.

The Seekers soundtrack was playing last time I was there, bringing a smile to my face. A touch of 60s chic.

I’ve found service to be great.

Laurent is popular with the older set but also with trendy city workers. They must be doing something right because now there are several Laurent establishments around Melbourne.
