Rice Paper is a great value Vietnamese restaurant on Swanston Street in a precinct full of Asian choices. When you enter you notice the colourful paper light coverings and the selection of photos from Asia on the wall.

Rice Paper offer great lunch specials as well as more expensive and expansive offerings. To get a great Lemongrass Beef for $5.80 was sensational! To get such a great lunchtime meal at such a low price was amazing. The beef was tender and the portion was excellent. Loved the kick from the chilli!

The Curry chicken is also great. Chicken in a curry broth with lemongrass and coconut. Scoop the curry into the large bowl of perfectly cooked rice.

The cutlery is to be found on the tables, along with serviettes, and flasks of water and plastic cups. This is no 3 hatted restaurant or fine dining experience. But for what it sets out to do, provide tasty Vietnamese meals at value prices, it is successful.
