San Paolo Solarino is a hidden secret in another nondescript laneway in Howey Place in the CBD. The food here is excellent and is matched by the ambience and pervading feeling of a truly European experience in Melbourne. This is a great destination for breakfast through until late.

Solarino is long, thin and intimate. A funky concrete floor with menu projected on the wall. Mood lighting and art on the walls. There is an air of sophistication . Great use of timber tables and chairs for a rustic vibe. Interesting arrangement of magazines on the rack down the wall.

The excellence of the breakfasts, the lunches with great calamari and pasta, and sense of occasion at dinner, has seen a bevy of faithful regulars return time and again.

Coffee here is excellent as is the service. One to return to.
