Finding Fire Dinner with Sydney chef Lennox Hastie was an epic event with many culinary highlights and a masterful recovery from drama. From his acclaimed restaurant in the backstreets of Sydney's Surry Hills, Firedoor chef Lennox Hastie headed to South Yarra to bring a firestorm.
Dans Le Noir is a unique and compelling dining experience that has taken the world by storm, and now available in Melbourne at The Como Melbourne each Thursday to Saturday from 6:30pm. The World Loves Melbourne was invited to a dinner session and we found the experience to be highly rewarding and slightly confronting.
Healthy dishes are a hit at CH James cafe in Fairfield. We've noticed that on Melbourne cafe menus there are many more options for healthier style brunch dishes reflecting the demand by customers. Gone are the days of the huge fry up. CH James offers the equivalent of the big breakfast but it's not a greasy fry up. For those health conscious customers CH James is the place to be.
New dishes at CH James are top notch, restaurant quality food in a cafe we believe. When looking at different cafes it's often the little touches that sets them apart. CH James doesn't compromise on premium ingredients and each dish gives the customer more than what they might expect.
An epic event for Good Beer Week was the degustation featuring BentSpoke Brewing Co (from Canberra) and The European restaurant! Held at a quintessentially Melbourne location, the private Team Room at iconic The European restaurant in Spring St Melbourne, this was a night to remember! BentSpoke Brewing, one of Australia's highly awarded craft brewers, was a perfect match for a Melbourne food and wine dining institution. Comments were made about "if these walls could speak they would mainly tell wine stories" but now "we are bringing the beer stories". And so they did!

Miss Ping's Thai Eatery is an exciting new addition to the food scene in Westfield Doncaster, with a sense of playfulness and fine food. The World Loves Melbourne attended the colourful launch and experienced some of the dishes of Miss Ping's. With attitude set to spice up Doncaster, this enticing venture has been created by hospitality veteran and Thailander owner, Winnie Chiang.
The Spice Pantry in Prahran is surely amongst the best Indian food in Melbourne. A big "call" but we are amazed by this new restaurant in the burbs. In true Melbourne style this is a small restaurant you may drive past on Commercial Rd Prahran. But stop and take the time to experience some first class (mainly) North Indian food.
Tom's Thai is a shining light in the Seabrook/Point Cook area with it's impressive Thai dishes. Named after it's owner, Tom's Thai has a selection of signature dishes experienced by The World Loves Melbourne. We highly recommend this local hero restaurant for your Thai food fix.
