Top 5 gifts for the men in your life

EagletacMX25L4

No matter what the occasion, it is always hard to buy gifts for other people, whether they are life long friends or your family.

I’m a glutton for buying gifts and I love seeing people’s faces when they open presents. There’s that spark of happiness, unashamedly resolute in the satisfaction associated with receiving a gift. As much as people try to mask their reactions, it can’t be masked completely. Therefore, if you don’t want to see that flicker of disappointment in their micro-expressions, you really need to invest time in researching the best gift for your loved one to prevent that from happening.

Recently, I did some seriously extensive searching for the perfect gift for my boyfriend. He is so hard to buy for. He is a man that has so many hobbies and interests, it is insane, but the problem being that although he has a number of interests, the speed in which they come in and out of favor is ridiculous. I thought I was bad with my wardrobe, but he is much worse. I can hardly keep up, even on a good day!

The thing is, he also always starts his new hobby by decking himself out with all the equipment he needs. So when it comes to presents, I really have to dig deep - and not just metaphorically, but physically through his things to get a better idea of what he may be missing. Plus, like any man the equipment he buys can only be the best of the best otherwise in his eyes, it's not going to do the job properly.

My boyfriend loves doing anything outdoorsy and he thinks there is nothing better than being out in the open and sleeping in a swag under the stars. Unfortunately for him, when I come along we have to swap the swag for a tent, but apart from that, I’m all sweet. Because we usually end up trying to get away camping for the weekend of his birthday every year, I decided to try to combine the gifts with the occasion and here are a few key items which can work for all the men in your life.

A great torch

A great gift for the outdoorsy man in your life is a torch. A strong and powerful one will help in any situation. I recently bought an EagleTac torch, and it is a LED pocket sized flashlight, but it expels a serious amount of light.

The perfect billycan

There’s nothing much better than enjoying a hot mug of tea by the campfire under the stars, so make sure you’re ready with the perfect billycan. You can get some great options with heatproof handles and whatnot, so take a look online!

A waterproof jacket

Is there anything worse than a jacket that leaks water on a cold rainy day when you’re hiking? No, not really. Spoil your man and keep him toasty warm by investing in a great waterproof jacket.

A GPS

Men can read maps… Most of the time. Save his bacon for when he can’t figure out which turn to take with a great GPS. Even better if you can get one that you can use in the car and on hikes too.

Hiking Boots

Sore feet on a hike? No thanks. Deck your dude out with a top notch pair of hiking boots. That way he’ll be more inclined to carry your things as well because he’ll be so comfortable!

I hope these tips for the perfect gift for the man in your life have been helpful and that you manage to source the perfect option for your special man. Good luck and happy gift hunting!
