Here are 40 great reasons for Americans to move to Melbourne -
The World Loves Melbourne loves a road trip! This time we headed for super popular Daylesford in regional Victoria on a long weekend. Only one and half hours from Melbourne, Daylesford gets about a million day trip visitors a year. The region is full of attractions and experiences. We set out to find the best with some of our team. One of the best things to do in Melbourne is to go on a road trip to a stunning region not far from the city; and Daylesford is the perfect destination.
The Grampians is a desination The World Loves Melbourne has enjoyed as a family favourite over the years. We enjoyed a stunning visit to Halls Gap and surrounds over several days thanks to Grampians Tourism with the upcoming Grampians Grape Escape in April with the grand finale weekend 30 April and 1 May 2016. Natural beauty, fine accomodation and top notch food and wine; a winning combination!

Adelaide the city of churches is a vibrant emerging city full of quirk and the unexpected. It's a changing city breaking from it's conservative past. We think it's on the rise and certainly the Lonely Planet thinks so in voting Adelaide as one of the top 10 cities to visit.
On a recent visit we were struck by the number of exciting new cafes and restaurants and the emergence of a strong coffee culture. Bar 9 can hold its own with any cafe in Australia. The beaches are amazing including Somerton, Glenelg and Semaphore with hidden secrets like Port Willunga. And the wine industry continues to evolve, including outstanding cellar doors and foodie regions such as the Barossa, McLaren Vale, not to mention the Coonawarra in the south east.
With a relatively new airport and the current major Adelaide Oval development set to see sporting action this summer, Adelaide is on the rise.
Adelaide’s quirky and unassuming facets are uncovered by pioneering winemaker Justin Lane in a stunning short film released by the South Australian Tourism Commission today.
The World Loves Melbourne enjoyed a fabulous getaway in Adelaide with a stay in the ibis Adelaide a highlight. We know Adelaide well and have stayed in many of the hotels. What we enjoyed about the Ibis Adelaide was the modern hotel, it's location in the heart of the action (right near Rundle Mall and the laneways and arcades), friendly service, decent rooms, gym, and the buffet breakfast and restaurant.
Balgownie Estate is a magnificent property deep in the Yarra Valley with multiple attractions of day spa facilities, great accomodation and alluring Rae's Restaurant with killer views. The World Loves Melbourne was invited along to imbibe the food and wine at Balgownie Estate. Check out our Best Yarra Valley Wineries.
Bean Drinking is an eclectic cafe in Crows Nest with a devotion to all things coffee and cuisine that impresses. I met up with a PR whiz to discuss marketing and enjoy one of Sydney's best cafes. Crows Nest itself is an appealing precinct with several eye catching cafes and restaurants. Getting a table at Bean Drinking can be an issue even though the cafe stretches out into the outdoor area next to green green grass.
Bean Drinking has its own "coffee lab", serving up ‘batch brew’, ‘pour over’, ‘Syphon’, 'Tasting Flight" (any 3 drinks from the Lab), ‘Cascara’ (coffee cherry tea), 'Sparkling Cold Drip' and ‘Cold Drip’. The SMH awarded Bean Drinking 3 cups so they are top of the class. It's a top notch coffee menu with expert baristas using Synesso and Slayer heavy artillery.

Cambridge Hotel in Riley St Surry Hills is a fabulous destination for both Sydneysiders and those of us looking to base ourselves in Sydney for a holiday or business stay. Having stayed in several Sydney hotels over the years, I find Cambridge Hotel ticks the boxes in terms of location, functionality, style and affordability.
We were guests of the hotel for a 2 night stay which included a twin room Deluxe Bedroom Suite, enabling parents to sleep in the main bedroom and kids to sleep on a sofa bed. Feedback from the family was positive with kids loving the views from the balcony, the comfort of the room and the proximity to attractions, not to mention the hotel swimming pool and spa.

Get ready! Dream Lover: The Bobby Darin Musical is coming to Sydney! We attended (Leo and Christine) the media launch at The Sydney Lyric Theatre where we were told by Stuart Ayres, NSW Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events that legendary performer David Campbell will play the lead role.
This is a WORLD PREMIERE NEW Australian musical only performing in Sydney launching this September at the Sydney Lyric Theatre; but we anticipate large interest from Melbournians! We were part of a media contingent hearing about this new show for the first time and were able to interview David Campbell.
