OMG Greek Week High Tea at Hotel Lindrum
The World Loves Melbourne was invited to the fabulous OMG Greek Week High Tea at Hotel Lindrum. As part of a celebration of Hellenic culture, cuisine and community Oh My Greek Week was celebrated during the week of the 21st to 26th November with several creative and fun events. If anyone knows how to have a good time it's the Greeks, with the sophistication and technique of extraordinary desserts.
Lead by chef, TV personality, restaurateur and author George Calombaris, Oh My Greek Week featured some of the most famous Greek chefs from Australia and around the world, who all came together in Melbourne for a week of culinary creation and cross collaboration. We think not only did the chefs have fun showcasing their skills before a captive audience of foodies, but surely they had fun behind the scenes connecting.
The World Loves Melbourne was invited by Hotel Lindrum MGallery to indulge in OMG Greek Week High Tea at Felt Restaurant. We were joined by pastry Chef extraordinaire Stelios Parliaros, known for his incredible dessert creations, and acclaimed Chef Christoforos Peskias. This was a high tea sensation from a Greek celebrity chef. George Calombaris was on hand too at this convivial event.
Among some of the delicacies we sampled were almond cake with rosewater, walnut biscuits with spiced syrup and a divine olive cake. The was tradition but with a modern day twist.
OMG Greek week High Tea at Hotel Lindrum was such a fun event and we can’t wait to see what next year has in store. And by the way, we've been to some awesome events at Hotel Lindrum. It's one of the historic icons of Melbourne and a fabulous hotel with flair, character and savvy.
