Romance of Venetian Dining at Vaporetto
We enjoyed an incredible dinner at Vaporetto restaurant bringing the best of Italian (and Venetian) dining to Melbourne with quality, charm and romance. Hands down one of my favorite Italian experiences in this city (known for its fine Italian restaurants).
Gnocchi al Ragù di Agnello was our favourite dish of the night. Pasta at its comforting best.
Seafood pasta goals.
Food is prepared using quality ingredients and flair, while house made pasta (from their own boutique pasta lab Carboni’s) is cooked to perfection. Dishes at Vaporetto evoke emotion, like a warm hug from Nonna.
Plump scallops.
An exceptional wine list adds to the offering.
Soft pillows of gnocchi are kissed by a fabulous lamb shoulder ragu. Fresh linguine is served with a cacophony of tantalizing seafood and delicious sauce, that sings on the plate. Plump scallops are undergirded with compelling black garlic. Squid ink bigoli long pasta is infused with the flavour of tasty clams. Sending us into satiation overdrive.
Outstanding hospitality at every level with staff engaging (thank you Maurice and David), attentive and invested.

A restaurant of character and distinction with an open kitchen and cosy but modern vibe.
House made Limoncello from Ballarat.
Dessert doesn't disappoint.
We’ve visited this restaurant in the past but they have stepped up their game in recent times under new ownership of Omar El Deek and brothers Giacomo Pietrantuono and Donatello Pietrantuono. A slice of Venice in Melbourne.
Highly recommedned.
