Ciao Bella Summer at Flour Child Richmond

To celebrate the launch of their “Ciao Bella Summer” experience, we indulged in a vibrant feast of seasonal flavors, playful cocktails, and Flour Child’s signature Pinsa Romana on their sun-drenched rooftop. It’s a slice of Mediterranean magic right here in Melbourne—a perfect spot for your next summer soirée.

The meal began with a Limoncello spritz on arrival to set the tone. From there, we dove into antipasti that were as bright and fresh as a summer’s day. Marinated olives and bocconcini dazzled with citrusy notes, and the limoncello ricotta was summer on a plate. Creamy, zesty, and finished with crispy basil, it felt like sunshine in a bite.

Next came a generous spread of salumi and cheese, paired with a burrata so luscious it practically melted. The limoncello crema draped over it added a welcome tang, while the pangrattato brought the crunch. And who could resist melon and prosciutto, that timeless duo of sweet and salty perfection?

The Gamberi & Limone was a standout (my fav dish), its lemon oil and confit garlic cream dancing harmoniously with tender king prawns.

Pinsa is a showstopper at Flour Child. The Roquette and Parmesan was a smash hit and the Margherita DOC, with its simple yet flawless execution, reminded us why classics endure.

For dessert, a tangy limoncello sorbet refreshed the palate, while the Sicilian cannoli, with its sweet ricotta filling, left us dreaming of the Italian coastline.
