One of Australia’s most popular cherry orchards, picturesque Cherryhill in Victoria’s Yarra Valley has extended its U-Pick hours so families can pick their own delicious fresh cherries into the early evening hours this season. Cherryhill will open on Saturday November 15th to pick your own biggest, sweetest cherries straight from the trees and this year, for the first time, U-Pick will be available til 7.00pm every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in December.
Allow ample time when you visit Cherryhill. The orchard is set high on the hills overlooking the Yarra Valley and it’s the perfect spot to set your picnic basket and enjoy the gorgeous views. There are large grounds and a shady cherry shack for those who prefer to be under cover.
And while you’re there, why not check out some of Cherryhill’s delicious new cherry products, including their cherry jam, cordial, sauce and of course their famous and wickedly delicious cherry ice cream.
Cherry picking is a great family outing, as everybody enjoys walking along the aisles of trees filling their buckets to the brim. And you can expect the price of your freshly picked cherries to be around half of what you would pay in the shops for premium quality.
