Grease is the word in Melbourne with Grease The Musical playing until the end of March... The World Loves Melbourne caught up with star of Grease The Musical, Gretel Scarlett, for an interview...
Gretel Scarlett is playing the lead role of Sandy in Gordon Frost Organisation's Australian tour of Grease The Musical - which is currently showing in Melbourne until the end of March.
Gretel Scarlett, the talented beauty, who graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts four years ago also starred in the 10th Anniversary Tour of Mamma Mia! and in the 2010-2012 Australian and International tours of Wicked the Musical.

TWLM: Who/where are your favourite foodie spots in Melbourne?

For a consistently great coffee, awesome poached eggs and amazing service, my number one cafe is "Two Birds One Stone" in South Yarra. For ridiculous corn fritters, I cannot get past MART on Albert parks tram line - And it's tram, spelt backwards! I'm a vegetarian, so Shakahari and Vegie Bar are my go to restaurants, and for an amazing Italian meal, Rococo's on Acland street sure delivers!

TWLM: In terms of burgers and dude food?

A dude is not going to say no to $4 pizzas at the Lucky Coq on Chapel street! Huxtaburger is a great Burger joint; it's always busy and that's a decent sign. But, the field of dreams burger is my go to at Grilld!

TWLM: Favourite fashion spots?

Some of my best clothes shopping has been accomplished on either Chapel Street or Chadstone Shopping. There's more boutique style fashion near Chapel Street, where as Chadstone is great for branded stores. It’s a dangerous place for me to enter...

TWLM:  Favourite precincts and why?

I absolutely adore High Street, Armadale. There's something for everyone. Its packed with cafes, fashion, bridal, homewares, salons, furniture, gift stores. You name it, High Street has it! But most of all, it's a beautiful precinct. Very well kept.

TWLM:  What are best things about Melbourne?

The coffee. The cafe culture. The trams. The appreciation of the arts and theatre scene. Plus, I now call it home, and home is where the heart is!
