Grey Goose Tim Grey 18 1

Melbourne boasts some of the best bars in the World. We're not sure most Melburnians know of the world acclaim of our bar scene.

The World's 50 Best Awards extends to bars, not just restaurants. The World Loves Melbourne is expecting a strong performance by Australian and Melbourne bars at these awards! We will post results...

THE WORLD'S 50 BEST BARS AWARDS 2015 – THURSDAY 8TH OCTOBER 2015

This autumn sees the return of the highly anticipated World’s 50 Best Bars Awards on Thursday 8th October 2015 in London.  The list, chosen by the 'who’s who' of the drinks industry, represents the ultimate guide to the top bars around the globe.

Returning for its sixth year, The World’s 50 Best Bars Awards is the most influential and respected global survey of its kind.  The awards are the result of a worldwide industry survey produced by Drinks International, the leading magazine for the global drinks industry.  Drinks International coordinates the final list based on nominations from an academy of over 400 of the most renowned names in the drinks industry, including Lewis Jaffrey, Salvatore Calabrese, Charlie Ainsbury, Gaz Regan, Peter Dorelli and Tim Phillips.

Last year, Australian bars were well represented in the list, including one bar in the top ten of the 50. It will be interesting to see if they can hold on to their titles, and fight off strong challenges emerging from cities including London, New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, San Francisco and Miami.

Drinks International will announce the 2015 list at an awards ceremony at Christchurch Spitalfields, East London on the evening of the 8th October.
