Biggie Smalls Launches in Chapel St Windsor
Acclaimed chef and restaurateur Shane Delia has launched his second Biggie Smalls Kbabs store at 36 Chapel Street, Windsor and The World Loves Melbourne was there at the launch.
Shane Delia is the king of good times as well as kbabs and the good times were flowing at the vibrant launch. The World Loves Melbourne reckons Shane puts heaps into each kbab - packed with innovation, fresh tasty ingredients, big flavour, and well thought out and balanced. You don't go hungry after a feed at Biggie Smalls and the menu caters for a range of tastes.

At Windsor, the menu is fully reloaded with some killer flavours. Best sellers include the ‘B.S.P’ (Biggie Smalls Snack Pack available with chicken, bacon and gravy) and the “secret” kbab for Windsor called the ‘O.D.B’ with pork and prawn shumai, hoisin mayo, pickled ginger slaw and chilli jam. “It’s always a huge risk opening up a shop these days, especially doing it at the level we do but I am confident that there’s a huge gap down that end of town for our reloaded product”, says Delia.
The beverage offering is unique with made-to-order cocktails including an exclusive Four Pillars Distillery ‘Gin and Juice’ which will change every season. And as fans of Four Pillars Gin we are stoked!
The first Four Pillars’ Biggie special features pomegranate, cloudy apple, spiced syrup and Four Pillars’ ‘Rare Dry Gin’.

Other house cocktails include ‘Back to the Bridge’ – tequila, pomegranate liqueur, Cointreau and sumac salt, ‘One Love’ – maple infused bourbon, bitters and smoked blueberries and ‘Long Kiss Goodnight’ – dark rum, spiced syrup, stewed apples and short bread crumb.
Beer is also on tap at Windsor, (currently only sell tinnies at Collingwood) and brands include the yet to open Brick Lane Brewery Co. Lager and IPA. Craft beer and kbabs are a killer combination.
Tunes are a trademark of Shane Delia (we visit Collingwood for the vibes as well as the food and Windsor is no exception). All senses are satisfied including sound thanks to Yamaha Home Entertainment Australia. “We really want Windsor to be a premium experience – world class spirits and beer, food and quality beats with a firstclass audio system”, says Delia. Biggie Smalls – Windsor is sure to change people’s perception of what a kbab shop is.
