Barilla Masters of Pasta at 2018 Australian Open Impresses

Barilla has hit the high notes at the 2018 Australian Open with its restaurant next door to Rod Laver Arena, and The World Loves Melbourne was invited. Tennis fans were shouting ‘bellissimo’ at the Australian Open as Italy’s number one pasta brand, Barilla, served up delicious Italian dishes created by its Executive Chef, Andrea Tranchero, with an Italian pop on the ground during the tournament.

Where to go for a rewarding Italian pasta meal at the tennis? Tennis fans have the opportunity to enjoy delicious authentic Italian meals at Barilla’s custom-built destination pasta restaurant, located directly outside Rod Laver Arena in Garden Square, open from 11am each day. We enjoyed a sumptuous lunch and generous hospitality with other media then enjoyed some keen championship matches afterwards.

“The Australian Open is such an iconic event, and we are thrilled to be involved in 2018 serving delicious Barilla pasta dishes each day for tennis fans,” said Terry Ryan, Managing Director Barilla Australia.

“We recently launched our new global campaign featuring Roger Federer, and we saw a collaboration with the Australian Open as the perfect opportunity to bring this partnership to life.”

Barilla is recognised as a global leader in Italian cuisine, and their recent collaboration with Roger Federer makes this a great synergy and fit for the Australian Open,” Australian Open Tournament Director Craig Tiley said.

“I know our fans will enjoy the Barilla restaurant onsite during the tournament and it’s yet another example of how we continue to build unique food experiences and expand our offerings across the precinct.”

While Roger is the master of his sport, Barilla is a #MastersofPasta, and they invite guests to take a shot and experience the Barilla restaurant for themselves at Australian Open 2018. Thanks barilla for your awesome pasta dishes and hospitality! Check out the Barilla restaurant at the tennis!
