Ya Jinda Thai a Shining Light in Doncaster East
Ya Jinda Thai the sister restaurant of ever popular Jinda Thai in Abbotsford is making waves in Melbourne's eastern suburbs with its top notch Thai offerings and excellent service. We have experienced Ya Jinda several times since it opened and it's never failed to deliver. We're not even sure the locals fully appreciate the gem that Ya Jinda Thai is. Whether takeaway or dine in, Ya Jinda ticks a lot of boxes in terms of big flavours, authenticity, range of dishes, top notch signatures and overall value. We think you will want to return again and again for your Thai fix from Ya Jinda. I guess we were looking to see if Ya Jinda measured up to Jinda Thai (where we've dined with family and taken international visitors over the years) and we feel it certainly does!
Nestled in a well known strip of shops on Doncaster Road, Ya Jinda is spacious and modern. You can easily grab a park out the front or down a nearby side street. Staff are welcoming, patient and engaging, and wear a smart uniform. They pride themselves on service.
Ya Jinda has a different vibe to Jinda Thai in Abbotsford but possesses the same quality and service values. Dishes include traditional favourites of Pad Thai, Spring Rolls, Satay platter, Stir Fry, Massamam Curry, Red Curry, Green Curry, Tom Yum soup, as well as other showstoppers such as Moo Yang, Soft Shell Crab, Thai Fried Rice, Gra Pow Crispy Chicken and the signature Deep Fried Fish with Tamarind Sauce.
Pad Thai is spot on with generous pieces of chicken, Spring rolls are crispy and tasty, Satay platter is top notch with char on the chicken and the sauce compelling, and the curries also hit the mark. Moo Yang with pork neck is a personal favourite, as is the Thai Fried Rice with chunks of pork. Not to mention the tasty Gra Pow Crispy Chicken, perfect with Coconut Rice. In fact we load up on their coconut rice.
There are also plenty of Vegetarian dishes such as Larb Mushroom, Pad Thai Tofu & Veg and Gra Pow Crispy Tofu.
The famous crepe cake will wow you for dessert.
For takeaway the food comes superbly packaged so you can add your sauces to dishes rather than being a soggy mess. Highly recommended.
