Black Star Pastry Opens at Chadstone Shopping Centre
Black Star Pastry, every cake lover's and instagram lover's best friend, recently launched a new flagship Melbourne store at Chadstone Shopping Centre. We were invited along on the day of launch to experience the new store and imbibe some of the magical cakes.
This is the second Melbourne location for Black Star Pastry after it's St kilda store, and the new kiosk designed shop is located in a glam fashion precinct of Chadstone. The modern new store matches the innovation, excitement and pure class of the cakes.

Black Star Pastry's new seven-layered mango yuzu cake with mango, coconut, yuzu and sago is striking and delicious with a tropical hit, and a new black sesame Zen cake also hits the high notes in visual appeal, complexity, and deliciousness.
Black Star's signature is of course the Strawberry Watermelon Cake, which is the most instagrammed cake in the world. Sit at a bar stool with your cake and a coffee by St Ali, and watch the world go by (or get takeaway).
The kiosk is designed by March Studio with a giant metal halo (that is jumbled but spells out the brand's name), and the long cake display is extraordinary in itself. Grab some merch while you're there.
Black Star will also open its first overseas store in Shanghai, an exciting development.
