The Pairing Method Launch at Rob Dolan Wines
Rob Dolan Wines are again hosting the ultimate food and wine dining experience with The Pairing Method: an opportunity to create your own dish with 2-hatted chef Tyson Bertoncello (O.MY) and Master of Wine Meg Brodtmann, based on which individual elements pair best with Rob Dolan Wines. We were invited to the launch event at the Rob Dolan Wines Farm House and found the activation and dinner to be one of the best events of the year.
Following the success of this event last year, Rob Dolan Wines is bringing back The Pairing Method this year in June, and taking the event to the next level with even more interesting and unique elements to pair with their wine. Image credit: Anitra
After a wine tasting led by Meg, who impressed greatly with her depth of wine knowledge and ability to communicate and inspire, we were guided through tasting different ingredients which change the flavours, structure, or texture of Rob Dolan Wines White Label Pinot Noir. So much planning and effort went into the ingredients tasting stations.
The guests walked around back and forth, from station to station to identify and score the best pairing ingredients for the wine. So much discussion, interaction and fun!
We were then able to choose our favourite elements as a group and that ultimately determined the “mystery box” entree that Tyson created in a live demonstration. Tyson being the master of pasta that he is, produced a stunning dish that was not only demonstrated in an entertaining and lively way, but enjoyed by guests only minutes later at the long tables at The Farm House.
After enjoying this custom-made creation as our entrée, The Farm Executive Chef Anthony Cutajar stepped in seamlessly and served the perfect pairing for the heralded Rob Dolan Wines White Label Cabernet, which was reverse-engineered as the perfect pairing, using The Pairing Method.
To finish, a dessert matched with Rob Dolan Wines Two Barrel Batch Muscat. Altogether 5 stunning wines and 3 magnificant courses! Thanks to Tori and the team from Rob Dolan Wines for an unforgettable evening, which you too can enjoy while tickets last.
