Cinque Terre Launches at The Social Quarter Chadstone
Cinque Terre restaurant has launched in The Social Quarter, a new elevated dining and entertainment precinct in Chadstone Shopping Centre. We enjoyed an awesome night of La Dolce Vita at the Cinque Terre media launch with Bec Judd as host.
It's an all star cast at this convivial new Italian restaurant in Chadstone Shopping Centre featuring iconic restaurateur David Mackintosh, illustrious chef and restaurateur Joey Vargetto, and high profile Maurizio Esposito (ex-Stokehouse, Cecconi’s) as the head chef, working wonders.
Cinque Terre dials up on vibrancy and transports us to the Italian riviera as part of exciting new luxe foodie hub The Social Quarter. Further elevating Chadstone Shopping Centre as a top world class precinct that wows with its food offerings, not just fashion.
Cinque Terre, an all-day Italian eatery, is the first new restaurant to open in the precinct and was the location for our epic dining experience. Cinque Terre is the brainchild of hospo icon David Mackintosh and Sicilian chef Joey Vargetto, and is set to wow Melbournians with Italian Riviera vibes. It was great to chat with David and hear about the vision for Cinque Terre, a restaurant that transports you into another world, with a splash of vibrancy and a touch of luxe.
Specialities include Pesce crudo of local Snapper, signature Corzetti ravioli of crayfish (which we enjoyed at the launch), the Burrida alla Genovese decadent fish stew, Vitello Tonnato "sbagliato" (we highly recommend from the launch) and the dry aged 300gm Eye Fillet (which we also imbibed at the launch). Plus save some room for a Raspberry and Tiramisu Choc Top!
Enjoy wines such as local Chalmers Fiano, French champagne, or Vajra Dolcetto from Piedmont.
The restaurant is a sizeable 160-seater and we were impressed by the ambience as well as the food and beverages. Highly recommended.
