Thirsty Camel Beer O'Clock Party
Thirsty Camel recently answered something dear to many Australians - when is beer o'clock? A survey of thousands of Aussies unleashed a keen interest. Mick Molloy the Beer O'Clock Ambassador was on hand at Austereo rooftop in South Melbourne to make the big announcement.
This was the culmination of 4 weeks going to the people for a democratic vote. Methinks this question could have been included in a government referendum to be combined with the question of whether Australia should be a republic. Agree?
And the answer? Well its 5pm! I'm thinking this is the obvious choice, as most people who work like to relax as soon as work finishes at 5pm. Mick Molloy however wasn't personally keen to lock in the 5pm slot but suggested beer o'clock was a 24 hour thing. He even joked about 9.03am being beer o'clock - being right after he finishes breakfast radio. I assume this is tongue in cheek.
