Nathan Buckley and Wolf Blass Launch 2020 AFL Season with "Buck's Blend"
Nathan Buckley has collaborated with Wolf Blass to launch the upcoming AFL season at an intimate event at Treasury Wines HQ. Nathan is not only a great coach of Collingwood but also a man who is not afraid to open up about his life, and to where his priorities lie. In a revealing launch event, Nathan opened up about the demands of football and how he keeps himself balanced in life. For example during the off season he doesn't obsess himself with football, but has a large chunk of relaxing downtime, knowing that the season ahead will be intense.
Nathan Buckley's love for the game is now more than matched by his love for people and the players, and he values relationships through football more than ever. He says he coaches each player as an individual, bringing out their strengths and characteristics and talents that are unique (in some ways like making a wine). Family and parenting are also massive priorities for Nathan.
Nathan Buckley is a Wolf Blass ambassador and the event launched a 2020 Wolf Blass AFL and NRL promotion where one winner will choose between a decade of AFL or NRL Grand Final tickets for themselves and a mate. What a prize! With an even AFL competition most supporters will feel their team can win in the next decade; but regardless the AFL Grand Final is always a great occasion to be savoured.

We got to sample Nathan Buckley's own wine, a limited edition called ‘Bucks Blend’, which I felt was bold yet elegant and powerful. This wine is not available to the general public for sale, and is a wine I will treasure. The fact that Nathan signed my bottle was a personal thrill. To be honest Nathan is one of the most inspirational people I have seen around football and his engagement with those at the event was exceptional.
Scallops were a highlight.

Wolf Blass has a long association with football and it's wines are top notch. The "Buck's Blend" is impressive and as well as enjoying this unique drop we indulged in one of my favourites, the Wolf Blass Black Label.
