Fun night at launch of Jin Bar at the new Dorsett Hotel in West Side Place in the Melbourne CBD. Freshly shucked oysters at our table from Melbourne Oyster Butlers, Bass and Flinders gin cocktails (with Director/Head Distiller Holly on hand), and superb canapés.

Jin means “gold” in Mandarin, in acknowledgment of the gold heritage of Victoria and Melbourne. Unwind with a signature cocktail as you immerse yourself within the rich history of Victoria's gold rush. There are touches of gold leaf throughout the decor and within the cocktails.
My favourite cocktail was the Bass and Flinders Maritime G&T which paired perfectly with oysters.
Intimate corners, dimmed lights & stunning artwork featuring local artists including Manda Lane art are a feature.
