5 Seconds of Summer Concert at Red Room with Nova
The World Loves Melbourne was invited to 5 Seconds of Summer performing an exclusive concert in the Nova Red Room at Trak Bar and Lounge on Toorak Road. Only a couple of hundred fans were invited to the concert after winning tickets. Some concertgoers waited 8 hours in line; with The World Loves Melbourne capturing the line down Toorak Road pre concert.
Hailing from Australia, 5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS) have become a global phenomenon as a punk pop and pop rock band since forming in 2011.
The exclusive event was hosted by Smallzy from Nova's Smallzy Surgery night show (consistently number one night show in Australia).
As guests of Nova we were ushered into a VIP area with drinks and refreshments to imbibe the accoustic performance.
So much energy invested in an accoustic performance with 5 Seconds of Summer playing some of their greatest hits such as She Looks So Perfect and a sensational rendition of The Romantics hit What I Like About You.
Sometimes accoustic performances by bands can fall flat - away from the big production equipment. 5 Seconds of Summer sounded superb with the production stripped back; showing just how excellent they are!
Impressed by the lanyards...
Fans were rewarded with an intimate experience following the highly successful concert a few months ago at Rod Laver Arena. The boys engaged the crowd with constant banter between (and sometimes during) songs.
Celebrities were on hand at the Red Room including Neighbours stars Matt Wilson and Mavournee Hazel, singer and YouTube sensation Sarah Grimstone, Oporto CEO Craig Tozer and NOVA Entertainment Louise Higgins, and David Hagger from The World Loves Melbourne.
With a career on a crazy upward trajectory The World Loves Melbourne had a great time at the Red Room with this seriously talented band.
