Mariana Hardwick - Melbourne Couturier To Showcase Collection
Melbourne's esteemed bridal couturier Mariana Hardwick will showcase her inspiring ready-to-wear collection titled 'Hardwick' at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Sydney (MBFF) from the 21st to 25th of August.
The 'Hardwick' collection will show nightly as part of the MBFF Sydney Trends series from Tuesday to Friday.
The highly anticipated collection will show amongst some of Australia’s biggest fashion names in an exciting line up that celebrates the top trends from the most influential designers.
After 30 years in the bridal business Mariana has teamed up with daughter-in-law and managing director Rebekah Hardwick mixing the heritage of the brand with a youthful enthusiasm expanding into the ready-to-wear market.
Encapsulating the uncompromised craftsmanship of a Hardwick garment, with the awe-inspiring designs notable to the brand, the 100% Australian made pieces truly support the dying art of fine sewing techniques in Australia.
“We want women to be able to experience luxury in everyday life. Each item is quite detailed in style yet offers versatility to cater for the contemporary women’s life”, said Managing Director, Rebekah Hardwick.
The ‘Hardwick’ collection illuminates metallic laces, laser-cut leathers and lavishly beaded tulles highlighting the eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary applications, including cocktail dresses, tailored jackets and fitted skirts.
With the Mariana Hardwick brands reputable name and already existing presence in the fashion industry, MBFF provides an opportunity to display the new designs to an array of Australian consumers as well as a global fashion

The ‘Hardwick’ collection will show nightly as part of the MBFF Trends series from Tuesday August 21st and conclude on Friday August 24th.
The collection will be available in the Mariana Hardwick flagship store from August 2012, and prices range from RRP$95 to RRP$1495.
The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Sydney is set to rock this year. Showcasing the latest collections from designers like Ksubi, Lisa Ho, Alice McCall, Camilla, Kirrily Johnston, Oroton and many more, MBFFS allows festival-goers to see the top trends of the season on the runway as they land in stores.
Jennifer Hawkins and Kris Smith will take to the catwalk for Myer, showcasing womenswear, menswear and swimwear from designers like sass & bide, Aurelio Costarella, Ellery, Arthur Galan AG, Wayne Cooper and Karen Walker, in an event that promises to be a highlight of the festival.
