The World Loves Melbourne Exclusive Masterclass With Sat Bains

The World Loves Melbourne enjoyed an amazing exclusive masterclass for 12 people with Sat Bains, one of the hottest chefs in the world, at the Electrolux Chef's Table, Taste of Melbourne. This was an epic event for The World Loves Melbourne and huge thanks to Electrolux and Sat Bains!

Winners of a competition run by The World Loves Melbourne were VIP's with a private session with Sat Bains, his charming wife Amanda, and legendary (friend of Sat Bains) George Calombaris was also present.

Chef Sat Bains is a Brit and with his wife Amanda are the proprietors of Restaurant Sat Bains with Rooms in Nottingham. He is one of the top chefs in Europe and known throughout the world. The World Loves Melbourne has been an admirer of Sat and his style of cooking for some years. Surely one of the hottest chefs in the world right now!

Sat Bains cooked up a stunning Chicken Liver Parfait Muesli, firing up the liquid nitrogen for awesome theatre and taste.

To top things off Sat Bains has just been awarded Best Restaurant in Britain by the Sunday Times; a huge achievement!

Sat Bains has been recognised by fellow chefs and food writers from all over the world for his innovative style of cuisine. In 1999, he won the acclaimed Roux Scholarship and in 2002, opened Restaurant Sat Bains and was awarded a Michelin star the following year.

In the past decade, the restaurant has garnered two Michelin stars, the ultimate 5 Rosettes from the AA and 9 out of 10 in the Good Food Guide.

Proud of his Midlands roots, Sat has long championed the use of quality local produce on his menus. He has appeared at congresses in Europe, the US, SE Asia, Japan and Australia demonstrating his dishes and ensuring the place of Britain’s East Midlands on the international gastronomic stage.

Sat spoke to us about "creating memories", "honouring the natural ingredient" and the need for "big flavours" when it comes to fine dining. When asked about "creating memories" Sat said it was more about people enjoying themselves when dining out than people trying to work out "how did the chef create this?"
