Pierre’s Spot - a pop-up soft-servery by Pierre Roelofs

From January 9 you'll find Pierre Roelofs dishing up street treats outside at Green Park Dining, every weekend, all summer long.

This is a brief teaser for a long awaited permanent dessert spot. In the interim, expect a lot of hypercolour, high-top trainers and flavours like the Milli Vanilli (soft-serve topped with vanilla meringue, jellies and pound cake) and the Puffed Daddy (soft-serve topped with dulce de leche, puffed millet, puffed golden syrup corn and date balls.) Expect next level soft serve and topping variations, changing weekly.

Gone are the days of flying solo. Pierre's Spot is the result of a mighty partnership with Jesse Gerner (Añada, Green Park Dining, Bomba Bar) and the crew from Bomba Bar - Kelly O’Loghlen, Shane Barrett and Andrew Fisk. It’s a partnership Pierre likes to refer to as the “Voltron moment,” five forces uniting as one.

Just two months ago Pierre decided to wrap up his six-year run of dessert evenings. He was looking for a fun, more casual way of presenting his desserts. While researching ice-cream vans and soft serve machines he got a call from Jesse about the Sugar Mountain Festival*. They got to talking, and Jesse soon realised that what Pierre had in mind was the missing link for a project he and the Bomba team had been researching and planning all year.

While custom machinery is designed and manufactured, a site secured and the identity fleshed out, Pierre's will pop-up each weekend from January 9th, 10am – 7pm (or until sold out). This is just the beginning, no more bookings or waiting for Thursday nights. Soon Pierre's treats will be available all week!
