Zumbo Dessert Bar Loves Melbourne
This week, The World Loves Melbourne was invited to a sneak preview of celebrity patissier, Adriano Zumbo, Zumbo Dessert Bar at Fancy Nance in South Yarra.
From January 15 the Zumbo Dessert Bar is open between 6pm -10pm Fridays and Saturdays and will serve a selection of regularly changing desserts, soft serve ice cream, freshly made popcorn and innovative cocktails, alongside a live DJ.
The first dish of the evening was a beautifully presented ‘lemon tart with buttermilk thyme ice cream’, incredibly refreshing and almost too pretty to eat!
This was followed by ‘cherries, parsley, kirsch & some chocolate’, a bold, full bodied dessert that was a colourful mix of striking green and dark red hues.
We then tried the evening’s showstopper - ‘milk, milk, milk & figs’, which was deliciously sweet, bursting with unbelievably intriguing flavours and textures, and quite simply brilliant.
Before being served a unique Petit Fours of: fresh nougat (the most delicious we've ever tried!); Ice cream sticle; and strawberry popcorn (incredibly moorish).
And as if we weren't full enough…we made a quick dart for the soft serve machine.
Zumbo and Fancy Nance head chef, Daniel Texter will change the menu often, creating an array of seasonal desserts and unique soft serve flavours.
We couldn't recommend the Zumbo Dessert Bar more highly, so if you're in the City this Friday head down to Fancy Nance, anytime from 6pm for the ultimate ‘sweet night’ in Melbourne.
