Pep Events creates personalised and unique experiences in some of Victoria’s best dining rooms, eateries, bars and wine rooms. From progressive dinners and wine tastings to single-site events and winery tours.
Pep Events has launched the Winter Season of the Pep Alliance, bringing together chefs, restaurateurs and producers to collaborate and deliver unique food and drink experiences for the public.
The Winter Season consists of three events to be held in Melbourne through July and August. Guests will experience a rare insight into the world of restaurants and other food businesses, whilst also celebrating the while also celebrating the pleasure and joy of great Australian produce, wine and beer.

The influence of Spain in Peruvian cuisine
Sunday, 30 July 1–4pm
Pastuso, AC/DC Lane, Melbourne
The Pep Alliance is celebrating Peruvian Independence Day with chefs Alejandro Saravia of Pastuso and Jesse Gerner from Bomba. This unique collaboration promises to be a celebration of Peruvian culture and the important influence that Spain has had and continues to have in the South American cuisine. We will discuss how these two cuisines have come to influence each other over the centuries. Hilary McNevin from Pep Events will moderate a discussion and a Q&A with the two chefs.

“Let’s work on a whole, small pig (~20kg on-the-hook) and a quarter of a steer (~80kg, min 30 day dry-aged-on-the-bone, recommend the forequarter, bespoke cut to your chef’s specifications) plus 6 taps (reckon we focus on the entire “core range” – 4 ales & 1 cider – plus one special release).” This is just part of the conversation in planning the Pep Alliance between Iain Ling, owner of The Lincoln Hotel in Carlton and Ashley Huntington, farmer and brewer of Tasmanian brewery, Two Metres Tall.
There’ll be lots of conversations and Hilary McNevin from Pep Events will MC and lead a Q&A session throughout the lunch.

Start at La Sirene Brewery, finish at Copper Pot Seddon
The Pep Alliance gets well-and-truly local as we look to shake off the winter and take you on an exclusive tour of La Sirene Brewery in Alphington with chief brewers Costa Nikias & Will MacDonald. Taste and talk brewing methods that are approached like no other brewery in Melbourne and then jump on a bus that will take you to Copper Pot Seddon where chefs Ashley Davis and Sascha Rust will create a clever Sunday lunch inspired by the brews you’ve just sipped. Hilary McNevin from Pep Events will host the lunch and moderate a Q&A throughout the day.
