Yarra Valley Meets Sagra with Innocent Bystander
Yarra Valley Meets Sagra was a top notch event for Melbourne Food and Wine Festival. Innocent Bystander created a unique experience with Circus Oz, Yarra Valley Dairy, and Four Pillars Gin, all on the Sagra's restaurant rooftop for an amazing night.
This year's Melbourne Food and Wine Festival saw some amazing ideas, concepts and themes. Yet one I keep revisiting is Innocent Bystanders’ brilliant regional collaboration of food, wine and amazing live entertainment combined with Circus Oz.
Innocent Bystander and Four Pillars Gin Moscato Cocktail that combined natural sweetness and bubbles, which was so refreshing on the night and combined well the a Sagra inspired gorgonzola mousse and pear and orange jelly cleverly served in a sesame seed wafer cone. Clever!
Only to be backed up by Innocent Bystander's clean, crisp and fruit driven Prosecco served with Sagra house made linguine, shellfish bisque and scallop carpaccio - which was enjoyed between the Circus Oz acrobatics and hula hoops.
A highlight apart from the live music and juggling acts was a special tasting of limited release Innocent Bystander Arneis, showing white peach, lemongrass and salted cashews aromatics with a nashi pear qualities and ideal acidity to produce a mouth-watering fine, dry finish that cut through an clarified the Yarra Valley Dairy Black Savourine. A bright fragrant white wine, like a mountain breeze.
Yarra Valley Dairy shared an array of artisan cheeses including their goats curd and bullseye semi-hard with paprika onion jam.
