Merricks Creek Winery - Mornington Peninsula
An example of an intimate winery for your bespoke experience, Merricks Creek is a fabulous winery on the Mornington Peninsula with stunning grounds, vineyard setting and a modern cellar door. Popular is their hire space the Garden View Table on the verandah at their cellar door on weekends for your hens event, birthday, catch up or other special occasion. Most times when we visit Merricks Creek there is a group enjoying themselves in this space. One of the most delightful places to be on the Mornington Peninsula and perfect for your event (reasonable cost too).
The Garden View Table is situated within the main entry to Merricks Creek’s Cellar Door. There are lovely views over the adjacent lawn, garden and vineyard. This space is semi-enclosed, has an open fire, wood heater and pull-down café blinds if needed.
Merricks Creek takes Group bookings at the Garden View Table with various seating times (contact Merricks Creek Winery for all the details). The group is seated on high stools around a fabulous large 100 year-old pine slab from the Jamieson High Country.
Merricks Creek offers a sharing plate menu and food arrives as it is made. Advanced ordering is encouraged and can be negotiated at the time of booking.
Merricks Creek don't charge for tastings. We love a free tasting!
You can even bring your birthday cake! Please tell them at the time of booking. They do not charge for cakeage.
Swiss grilled raclette with hot potatoes, cornichons and cocktail onions is a sensation. Crispy on the outside and oozing cheese bliss imakes this a must order dish.
Visitors rave about this 12 hour Slow cooked lamb and mushy peas.
Free range chicken liver pate with a carrot & diakon pickle is delectable.
Main Ridge Dairy fresh goat curd, tomatoes, bettroot and warm baguette is warm fresh, zesty and creamy!
Merricks Creek also serve gluten free alternatives. On request they can serve gluten free rolls and biscuits with the sharing plates. Merricks Creek sharing plate menu also has a selection of gluten free options. Please ask at the time of booking for up-to-date information on the menu.
You can also reserve tables for couples, groups of four etc. including the fabulous deck featuring posts from old telephone poles.

Zonzo Estate - Yarra Valley
Zonzo Estate is another popular winery for functions, located in the Yarra Valley. With its Italian influence and standout wines it is a perfect function destination, surrounded by forty-five acres of vines and lawns for a stunning setting.
Zonzo Estate has the capacity to seat 130 guests for a sit down function, with space for dancing, enough to cater for most groups. The feel is modern with rustic nuances. Weddings are popular here with long tables and a wedding package can include pre-dinner nibbles on the terrace, a generous antipasti selection, wood-fired pizzas and mouth-watering roasts.

Montalto Winery - Mornington Peninsula
Montalto Winery is a recently renovated winery that is popular for events and weddings. As far as we know they don't do multiple weddings in a day and offer hatted restaurant quality food from their kitchen.
Stunning views and decor.
This is a winery of class and sophistication at every level. The relaxed elegance of the Montalto restaurant provides a beautiful setting for a celebration. The dining room takes advantage of a breathtaking rural outlook; vines, olive groves and sculpture leading down to picturesque lakes and wetlands, with pasture and a hint of the ocean as the backdrop. Montalto is a winery many Victorians know well, and would be a "go to" for many a wedding celebration.
In the evening, the architectural features of the space create an elegant ambience. Available for a minimum of 60 to a maximum of 100 guests. (Minimum of 50 guests for functions held Monday - Friday or from May - October.)
