The World Loves Melbourne was invited along to experience this decadent affair, with matched wine pairings. We concluded it's great value and for 2 people a substantial amount of cheese. It felt like a journey through cheese with such an array of high class sweet and savoury offerings. For any cheese lover this is a must! Now extended until December 31 2019!
Commencing from 24 May and now extended until December 31, 2019 (due to popular demand), The Westin Melbourne is bringing back its popular cheesy take on High Tea. We love the diversity and creativity of this offering by The Westin Melbourne. They have taken hold of Melbourne cheese culture and made it their own with their own take on it all. The collaboration with Maker and Monger is fabulous.

Partnering with Prahran Market cheese experts Maker & Monger, High Cheese serves up three tiers of sweet and savoury treats with cheese as the star ingredient. All cheeses from the High Cheese can be purchased at Maker and Monger in Prahran Market. Presentation is top notch, if not exuding a sense of luxury, like this iconic hotel.
Guaranteed to tempt cheese lovers everywhere, indulge with a deliciously gooey baked Normandy Camembert aux Calvados before you dine on Black Truffle, porcini and walnut layered Brie Fermier la Tremblaye; Swiss Gruyere Vieux Gougères with burnt green leek; and Marcel Petite Comté Réservation custard tarts, to name a few. My favourite was the gooey baked Normandy Camembert aux Calvados and after experiencing this dish I was happy already.

Sweet delights also hit the high notes, as you indulge in the Poached French pear with stracciatella, fresh honeycomb and a smoked macadamia crumble; or the Ruby chocolate parfait with Brillat Savarin frais and raspberry jam.

High Cheese is served in Allegro Restaurant daily from from 5.00pm and in the Lobby Lounge on weekends from 11.00am to 4.00pm running until 31/8.
$70 per person including free-flowing Vittoria Coffee blends, Jing Tea herbal infusions and hot chocolate. We think it's a first class great value offering and a must for foodies.

Wine pairings are also available with prices by the glass, also recommended. The Westin Melbourne once again displays it's flair and connection to the Melbourne food scene with High Cheese.
