Pure South was the destination for an intimate and exclusive dinner experience, showcasing the stunning produce from King Island, Flinders Island and Tasmania. It was a pleasure to be invited (David and Gary) to this media dinner event.

Since 2004 Pure South has been one of the best and most rewarding dining experiences in Melbourne, with standout food and wine, as well as large windows opening up to top notch views along the River Boardwalk in Southbank. The showcasing of the best of Tasmanian produce has been a point of difference, but also it's their expert treatment of this fine produce that stands out.

Tassie Scallop & Lobster Ravioli was one of the smash hits at an exclusive epic dinner experience, not to mention St Helen's Lease 65 oyster, Jerusalem Artichoke with Quince and Tongola Farms Goat Curd with Miso and Cashew, and the Tasmanian Cressy Lamb with heirloom carrots, yogurt, spiced seeds and date sauce.

The depth of flavor in the Tassie lamb was incredible.

We were served stunning dishes paired with the best of Tasmanian wines including House of Arras Brut Elite sparkling wine, 2021 Bay of Fires Pinot Noir, 2022 Milton Pinot Gris, 2021 Pipers Brook Estate Chardonnay and a special Hellyers Road Distillery Original Cream Whisky Liqueur with dessert.
