Oaks Day at Rippon Lea Estate
We enjoyed (David and Roger) sensational Oaks Day hospitality at Rippon Lea from Showtime Event Group with premium catering, entertainment, fashion on the field and the extraordinary ambience of the pool and gardens. The perfect way to enjoy one of the marquee days on the racing calendar.
The catering for the event was exceptional with quality canapés coming thick and fast from helpful staff, as well as food served from three compelling stations - an Italian Grazing Station with antipasto, a Sushi Station and a Pasta and Risotto Station. Plenty of food to be enjoyed by all. Not to mention the excellent wines and other beverages that were included in the hospitality package.
Media personality Mike Larkin was at his humorous best in hosting the fashion on the field event (several rounds) and got the crowd up and about.
While my horse came second in the sweepstake, I wasn't quite able to win the coveted dinner for two prize.
This was the first time I've experienced Rippon Lea by the pool, and it's a memorable experience. A poolside bar, tables with white cloths, an abundance of flowers, an iconic fountain, and extraordinary architecture and gardens, made for a touch of class.
Entertainment impressed and guests were keen to dance the afternoon away.
