Staycation at Oakwood Premier Melbourne
We enjoyed a stunning staycation at 40-storey Oakwood Premier Melbourne in an Executive Twin Room with extraordinary views of Port Phillip Bay. A hotel perfect for the modern traveler.
Cocktails at Strato Melbourne featuring spectacular views of the City was a highlight (recommend the Beeswax Negroni), as was dinner at Oak Lounge Bar sampling the delicious and new more elevated menu (kudos to exceptional Simon behind the bar).
Oak Lounge Bar is perfect for evening drinks and light meals. Some of dishes that excited included must-order Prawn and Crab Spiced Remoulade on Brioche (2), refreshing Smoked Salmon Ceviche, perfectly cooked Striploin (Porterhouse) 250g, and moorish Spice Dusted Fries.
Oakwood Premier Melbourne is a standout 5 star hotel that also features serviced apartments, and is in a convenient location on the edge of the city and close to popular South Melbourne Market and Yarra River precincts (eg Southbank and DFO). Convenient parking across the road was a bonus.
Oakwood Premier Melbourne boasts 360 views of the City, Port Philip Bay and beyond! And its such a unique and spectacular perspective compared to other hotels.
Reception was excellent throughout and the reception area is spacious and stylish. The lift system is something else, state-of-the-art and super efficient.
My twin room was also state-of-the-art and fully equipped for my every need. It was next level in terms of comfort and convenience (including great entertainment, furniture, work desk, and kitchen and laundry amenities), all with a touch of class.
Oakwood Premier Melbourne is also equipped with a generous Fitness Centre (check out the MyWellness App and In-room Wellness), Games Room, Residents Lounge and numerous outdoor areas, each overlooking the city, Port Phillip Bay and Melbourne surrounds.
Business travelers rejoice! The property also features various business amenities such as a conducive co-working space, five versatile meeting spaces and a ballroom for events and meetings.
We also enjoyed a hearty breakfast buffet at in-house breakfast restaurant, Fifth. Order yourself an omelette cooked by the chef, or load up on favorites from the various stations such as sausages, tomatoes, various breads, baked beans, scrambled eggs, and the like. Or grab yoghurt and fruit salad.
The hotel also boasts restaurant-quality room service. There’s even a standout Superette Convenience Store adjacent (where guests can get a free coffee or tea plus purchase essentials).
All in all the complete offering. Staff were engaging and helpful at all times. Such a great stay!
