Tokyo Tina's Late Night Alter Ego, Thundercat Supper Club

Japanese street-food favourite Tokyo Tina is catering to Chapel Street’s night-owls by extending the opening hours of its bar area – known as Thundercat Supper Club – which now serves succulent snacks and beverages late into the night. The World Loves Melbourne is seeing Chapel St become more and more alive with chic options for bar enthusiasts.

Open from 10pm until late on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, Thundercat Supper Club will provide Windsor with a bar dedicated to after-hours whisky, martinis and hiphop entertainment, but most importantly, a place for a decent meal after all other venues have closed their kitchens. The bar is one of the few places in the precinct that offers a late-night menu.

The selection is made up of favourites from the Tokyo Tina kitchen, including their famous DIY beef bao, karaage chicken ribs, a selection of dumplings and a Japanese inspired charcuterie platter to satisfy everyone from the whisky connoisseur to the beer drinker.

Simon Blacher, partner at Tokyo Tina says Thundercat Supper Club will have its own Chapel Street entrance and will be a hit for hospitality workers who are after a post-service feed. "We’re excited to welcome our new pet Thundercat Supper Club to the family. It’s our delivery of late night hip hop, whisky and really good booze food”.

Tokyo Tina and Thundercat Supper Club are available for Christmas functions and have a range of different function packages available, as well as flexible catering to suit any event. Thundercat opened to the public on Friday 25 September, open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 10pm until late.
