Dinner at BrewDog Pentridge in Coburg
BrewDog is a chain bar with global locations specialising in the Scottish brewery's craft beers, with regular guest brews. Their latest development in Coburg Victoria is super impressive, within the historic E Division building at Pentridge Prison.
If those walls could speak! In fact a former prisoner has given it the thumbs up.
BrewDog Pentridge is an impressive destination for craft beer and food lovers alike and has gained tourism traction.
Highlights included the Elvis Juice and Lost Lager craft beers, excellent large pizzas and Parma’s, calamari, burgers, halloumi, tasty wings and tacos.
We were invited along for the experience and given an excellent tour of the site including restored interiors that offer a nod to the history of Pentridge, while the sprawling beer garden offers a vibey modern and casual experience.
BrewDog Pentridge is spread across two levels, with indoor dining room and quiet den space on the ground floor, three function spaces on level 1, plus a relaxed outdoor beer garden with BrewDog container bar, bookable spaces and games area.
The 500 capacity venue is super impressive and was pumping on a Thurs night, with 20 different craft beers on tap from session-strength pale ales and lagers to epic imperial stouts and sours, including the ‘BrewDog & Friends’ range of guest local breweries.
We hear that All You Can Eat Wings for $25 on Wing Wednesdays are a massive hit.
