Dinner at Studio Amaro in Windsor
We were invited to a stunning media dinner at stylish Studio Amaro, the new day-to-night Italian-inspired restaurant and basement bar in Chapel St Windsor. A hot new Melbourne destination which has a bright future as a place to catch up with friends for a convivial experience.
Italian flavours, apertivo drinks (with Amaro featuring of course) and funky disco type vibes greeted us at Windsor’s newest hotspot.
The stylish well-designed venue is split over two levels with a stunning 100 seater dining room and sexy bar basement, courtesy of Commune Group (think icons Firebird, Hanoi Hannah and Tokyo Tina).
The huge granite bar, retro colours and yellow corduroy booths caught the attention.
Spectacular antipasti, hand made pasta dishes and standout mains brought the joy -
-GRILLED PORK & FENNEL SAUSAGE,
ROASTED PEPPERONATA, GREEN OLIVE
-SOURDOUGH FOCACCIA + CONFIT GARLIC BUTTER
-WHIPPED RICOTTA, LEMON OIL
-ROCKMELON, CHILLI OIL, + PROSCIUTTO
-WOOD FIRED EGGPLANT CAPONATA
-PRESERVED ZUCCHINI, MINT, BASIL
-CULATELLO (PROSCIUTTO), 18MTHS D.O.P
-RIGATONI ARRABBIATA, WOOD FIRED CHILLI, STRACCIATELLA, OLIVE
-MAFALDINE, PRAWN, CITRUS BISQUE
-VEAL COTELETTA, PARMIGIANO REGGIANO

Dishes impressed with a twist on Italian classics. We then went down to the funky basement for desserts including ROCKMELON GRANITA, LEMON VERBENA, FINGER LIME and more Amaro.
Communal and casual Melbourne dining at its best, full of energy, and with a large dollop of style and fun.
DJs with vinyl in the basement for partying.
