The food is seriously next level. We savoured every mouthful of an array of handmade dumplings, each boasting fresh, high-quality ingredients. The XO Scallop and Prawn Dumplings were an absolute star, bursting with seafood flavour in every bite. The Chilli Wagyu Beef Dumplings were equally decadent, while the Xiao Long Bao - soup dumplings with no tears in the casing—were a welcome indulgence.
The Peking Duck Pancakes gave us the joy of DIY assembling, with succulent duck and all the trimmings, while the Chinese Broccoli brought a crisp, refreshing balance to the richness of the dumplings. Shredded Steak was rich and rewarding and the generous Legit Special Fried Rice is surely one of the best fried rice dishes in Melbourne.
Paired with the Kalleske Moppa Shiraz 2023 - a peppery Yarra Valley red — this was yum cha reimagined with a touch of elegance. The tea list is first class (signature house-blended teas), with the Orange Pekoe providing a delicate, refreshing finish.
